Guidance Mrs. Alycia Fairchild Senior parent letter sent home with students in September with upcoming event dates Please click the link for the wiki page for updates on scholarship information, SAT information, etc.
Attention Parents/Guardians of Juniors and Seniors, I wanted to make you aware of two financial aid scams to avoid. Please disregard any letters from College Admissions Assistance(AKA), Student Service. I also want to remind you that you should never pay a fee to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and the correct website to use is www.fafsa.gov. Some parents in other school districts were receiving a letter with a brochure leading people to fafsa.com. It plays on fear and states, “Making just one mistake on your application can cost you thousands of dollars”. Please don’t use fafsa.com. If you need assistance filling out the FAFSA, please come to our free FAFSA completion night at Millville High School on February 20th. You can call the guidance office for more information and to set up a time to complete your FAFSA with Marla Kane, a representative from PHEAA. If you have any questions about this information or have seen any other questionable letters please don’t hesitate to call me at 570-458-5538 extension 236.
