Millville Area School District Community,
It is with great excitement that I enter my second year as the Jr./Sr. High Principal for the Millville Area School District. Although last school year was met with many challenges, when faced with adversity, our learning community worked together to prioritize our number one goal, student success. I look forward to continuing to work with our students, faculty and community members to make this year both productive and successful.
I am a proud graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education for Social Studies. I then began my career teaching alternative education in a residential facility. During my time in alternative education, I also received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and added an English as a Second Language Certification. My additional certification and Master’s Degree were obtained at Bloomsburg University.
Shortly after obtaining my Master’s Degree I began teaching High School Social Studies. During my tenure as a teacher, I taught a variety of High School Social Studies classes, coached multiple sports, was a class advisor and a member of the graduation committee. I enjoy being very involved and visible to my students!
While in my teaching role, I completed my Principal Certification through Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After completing such, I temporarily filled in administratively and was named the Dean of Students. My professional experience thus far has allowed me to grow immensely and see the educational field through a variety of lenses. I am truly honored to continue my career here at Millville, and I am ready for a successful school year!
All the best,
Alicia N. Differ
